The Planets are Drifting
9. + 10. Decemeber 2022
Durational Dance Performance
Lichthalle Städelschule Frankfurt
By and with Amanda Barrio Charmelo, Hanako Hayakawa, Leah Marojevic, Aran Kleebaur, Mårten Spångberg, Louis Hay, Julia Yoo Soon Gröning, Lucas Eigel, Emmilou Roessling and others.
How can something so slippery as dance, that basically disappears the moment it is over, be preserved? How can something be shared that vanishes, and how can something vanished be passed on? Dance poses a problem to ways of recording and remembering, and perhaps also to what itmeans to make something. “The Planets are Drifting” ventures into the shady terrain where looks deceive, words hide behind their meaning and dance turns on itself.
Supported by the NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETWORK - STEPPING OUT, funded by the Minister of State for Culture and Media within the framework of the initiative NEUSTART KULTUR Assistance Program for Dance and DigiPraxSND - Städelschule
Residency support BUDA Kunstencentrum.
