Emmilou Roessling works with sculpture, choreography and text. Her practice is concerned with issues of representation, display and perception, often striving towards forms of opacity and camouflage.
Her work has been presented in different contexts including WIELS Centre for Contemporary Art, Brussels (2023), Saasfee* Pavillon, Frankfurt (2022), Portikus, Frankfurt (2022), Nassauischer Kunstverein, Wiesbaden (2021), Arsenic, Lausanne (2020), Judson Church, New York (2019) , Kunstverein Moabit, Berlin (2019), Mousonturm, Frankfurt (2018) and Frankfurter Kunstverein (2016). She studied dance and choreography in Gießen and Amsterdam, and fine arts at the Städelschule in Frankfurt.
